In a significant development, three individuals, including the two assailants responsible for the murder of Rajput leader Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, were apprehended in Haryana.

The arrests, made in a joint operation by Delhi and Rajasthan police in Chandigarh, follow a dramatic chase. The gunmen, Rohit Rathore and Nitin Fauji, along with accomplice Udham Singh, were captured, bringing the total arrests to four.

The chilling assassination had triggered protests in Rajasthan, occurring shortly after the BJP’s electoral victory. Gangster Rohit Godara claimed responsibility, citing Gogamedi’s alleged support for their rivals. The shooters’ escape, traced through mobile phone records, included stops in Hisar, Manali, and Mandi before their arrest in Chandigarh.

The arrests offer closure to a case that shook the state, with investigations ongoing to unveil the full conspiracy and ensure justice.
